The travelling secretary of PENSA Central sector, Rev Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo speaking at this year's Cape Coast Area Youth Camp meeting which took place from the 18th to 22nd August at the Aggrey Memorial Senior High School touched on the main theme "A steward with a difference". The Camp meeting which was under the auspices of the Cape Coast Area Head, Apostle Albert Amoah and assisted by the Area Youth Pastor, Rev. Isaac Deku also witnessed great men of God such as Rev. Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, Pastor Emmanuel K. Aidoo, Pastor Enoch Odame, Ovr. William Kumordji, Pastor Eric Somuah and Elder Michael Nortey who were also the main speakers for the camp meeting.
Mounting the podium to speak on Wednesday 19th August, 2015 was Rev. Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo who touched on the main theme "A STEWARD WITH A DIFFERENCE". He said a steward is someone
who manages another person’s property or estate. What you do or take care of that is not your own but another person who
would demand accountability from you one day.
“For it is as when a
man, about to take a journey, got his servants together, and gave them his property”
Matthew 25:14 (BBE). He added that not all
servants are stewards, stewards are those tasked with the property of the
master and from whom accountability is required whether they have been detailed
about their role or not, stewards
are workers who have no excuse but are required to carry the task given them
whether they think they can attain results or not. Their destiny is always one
of two options: reward or punishment.
As Christians we are all stewards of God, life,
natural gifts and talents, families and every opportunity that comes our way in
this life and once we are alive, we are stewards of God and the world will demand of us good accountability, whether we think we
have been resourced or not. Touching on the stewardship of Daniel, he said Daniel was a
steward of God who was committed to pleasing Him all the days of his life and we must also seek to please God in all aspect of our lives
“Then these men said,
We will only get a reason for attacking Daniel in connection with the law of
his God.” Daniel 6: 5 (BBE).
1 He said Daniel was a steward who was faithful to God in times of crises (captivity) and a
period where he had every reason to doubt God and we must
remain very faithful to Christ irrespective of how we are influenced and
tempted by false religions and heresies. On how to to be a steward with a difference we must first set out
to be above all our peers everywhere and in every situation in life. We must also live on earth as a standard for all other people in politics, commerce, social
life, marriage, education etc. (Daniel 1:8; 2:46-48; 6:3, Hebrews 1:9), not been negligent or corrupt in any activity
under your care under the sun, no matter how small it may seem in your eyes or
in the eyes of others and making use
of every opportunity instead of complaining. Those who complain are spectators in life, stewards with a difference
make great impact out of every opportunity. Matthew 25: 24,25.
In conclusion he said the Bible is the true Word of God and
all its record must be believed without doubt and as Christians we are supposed not to be mere stewards
but those with a difference for the world to know that we are here to
make a difference.
