OPENING MESSAGE BY APOSTLE EMMANUEL GYESI ADDO-PENSA GHANA CONFERENCE 2016

The much talked about Annual PENSA Ghana Conference started with a Morning session on the 8th January,2016 at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Millennium City - Kasoa. The main speaker for tertiary Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi Addo was first to mount the podium to speak on the theme "Hearing and obeying the Lord's voice". Reading from 1st Samuel 3:9-10 (Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant hears. ’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
And the Lord came and stood, calling as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant hears), He started by saying that the central point within the year is " Have you heard from God and are you obeying Him"? At the end of the year you must never be the same.There must be a transformation in your life.Every individual should grow up and have intimacy with God in that ,you get closer to God ,as a friend indeed.He said God speaks to every generation and He speaks in diverse ways to diverse people.Although, God does not change, His methods of speaking to people changes. He does not speak in one side or format.He speaks to people base on their level that is the environment,culture and others.He speaks to people through dreams,visions and other means.The coming of the Lord Jesus ushered mankind into a new Era.The word of God was rare at that time.It was not because the Lord was dumb,but the people consistently refused to listen and obey the voice of the Lord.Some heard it ,but they did not obey the voice of the Lord.As a result,the Lord decided not to speak to them.If the Lord speaks and you obey, it changes things. There are so many voices in the world which includes the voice of the devil, the voice of false teachers, the voice of the Lord, human voice and others.Which voice do you intend to hear by the end of the year? I believe you want to hear the voice of the Lord.Get closer to Jesus and be determined to hear the voice of the Lord and you will hear His voice by the end of the year.He said as Christians we ought to obey the voice of the Lord than that of men. If the "Rhema " is from God then it must be in line with the "Logos". God provides guidance through the "Logos". As we prepare ourselves to hear and obey the voice of the Lord,there are certain attitude we need to develop as believers.The seven fold attitude of the believer are;
1. We must have the word.
2. Read the Bible.
3. Study the Bible( Studying the Bible is entirely different from reading the Bible. In studying the Bible, you ask questions and get answers from the Bible).
4.Meditate on the word.( This is where you receive Rhema).
5.Memorize the word.(Remember, even the devil in tempting Jesus had memorised some verses which the devil quoted from Psalm 91:11-12.Jesus in return quoted verses in His head to defeat the devil.The Apostles kept quoting verses in driving out demons and performing miracles).
6.Believe the word.
7. Obey the word.Walk with it and allow the Bible to be your standard.
As you hear the voice of the Lord within the year,don't only be a mere listener,obey the voice of the Lord and your life will be transformed.Shalom!!!!!!
