On Saturday 2nd May, 2015 PENSA Central sector under the leadership of Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo (PENSA Travelling Secretary, Central Sector) and his working team members organised a summit on Relationship at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium, University of Cape Coast to educate the sector members on Relationship. This memorable summit was attended by great men of God including the Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor David Nyansah Hayfron and his wife Mrs Sheila Nyaniba Hayfron who was the guest speaker for the day. Also in attendance was the PENSA travelling secretary of Western sector Pastor Ebenezer Agyapong who was also the former Central sector travelling secretary of PENSA. All the tertiary institutions in the sector were present with a total of about one thousand participants in all filling up the auditorium. This summit was under the theme "BEFORE YOU SAY I DO"!

Mrs. Sheila Nyaniba Hayfron who is a counsellor and pharmacist by profession gave the first talk on the SEQUENCE OF MANHOOD, where she gave an account on the creation of Adam where God found that he needed a helper by creating Eve out of Adam. She then stressed that relationship is not a new thing but it has been with us from the time of creation till date. She said a good relationship should first and foremost have a connectivity with God because He first loved us. Living a responsible and purposeful life was also discussed as one of the vital elements needed for a successful relationship. Anyone who enters into marriage should be responsible to each other's body, their soul and spiritual growth.
She added that marriage is a matter of choice that is determined by who we are because who we are determines who comes into our lives and cautioned members to live a life that pleases God and with that alone will the right person find their way into theirs. In order to be the right person she highlighted on the following features;

  • Build a good relationship with God
  • There should be maturity and emotional stability in ones life
  • Leadership should be a hallmark especially in men
  • Women should also learn to be submissive to their husbands
  • There's the need for home making skills
  • Ability to accommodate other's close relatives and friends

After attending to some few questions from members, she began her second talk on BUILDING A HEALTHY COURTSHIP. Courtship which is a period where prospective couples study and get to know each other was discussed to be based on first of all discovering each other. One needs to know who the person he/she wants to marry truly is by discovering all the relevant informations necessary for a successful marital life. Both should also build trust by being honest to themselves, love should be among them and there's also the need to deepening spirituality by allowing God to lead.
She concluded by advising the participants to place God first in their relationship and, set clear boundaries to protect themselves and if possible marry as soon as possible.
After her wonderful talk, Pastor Ebenezer Agyapong climax it all with a short but powerful talk on "RUN AWAY FROM THE PERVERSION OF THE WORLD".
The Youth Director also educated members on the Church's policy on relationship in the Church and also addressed some few questions and finally prayed for all members.
