ARTICLE: THE CHRISTIAN'S PAIN

THE CHRISTIAN'S PAIN

The farmer will always tell you how he finds it tough when it reaches the clearing, planting, paying for things and others. It is about sowing in the christian life. This is what was said to the Galatians: (NIV) Gal 6:8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Sowing to the flesh produces the joy of the flesh. It produces the joy of the flesh which is limited. It is limited to destruction. It deals with being given to all forms of fleshly desires: the love of money, fornication, bribery and corruption and the like. When one sows to the Spirit, the flesh is put under subjection. The flesh is restricted. It will not have its pleasures. In this case, the flesh will undergo suppression. That is where the pain comes. It is a discipline into eternal life. It is a discipline to escape death and be given to eternal life. The flesh cannot help one to make Heaven, therefore the chance must not be given for it to take you to hell. That is because the way of life is above to the wise that he may depart from the grave beneath (Prov 15:24). This is one of the things that account for the pain of a child of God. The subjection of the flesh to the things of the Spirit which will be termed as the discipline of the child of God. Let us have a further look. (NIV) Gal 5:16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Tuning to the Holy Spirit is a discipline God gives us. We must be aware of this;(NIV) Heb 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
The farmer smiles as his farm gives a good yield. He smiles as he sees victory. He had trying moments. He had tough times but at the time of victory, he less remembers the pains. At the time the peace of the Lord shows up in us because we subjected ourselves to Him, it will be a joy for us. It will be glorious for us to be special and unique in all things. Do not let go, the victory is at the corner. Shalom
Yes, the victory is at the corner, and that, not to all people but only those who have made the Lord their refuge in Jesus. You see, if you do not honour Jesus, you are not giving honour to the Father. You know why? (NIV) Joh 5:22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. With all said and done, Jesus has made the way for all to come to the Father by Him. He is the exact representation of the Father. He invites you to say a prayer as below to get connected to Him.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for your grace upon my life. I believe Jesus died to save me from your wrath. He resurrected from the dead for my justification. This day, I accept Him as my Lord and personal Savior. I will worship you in Him all the days of my life. Amen
Having said this prayer faithfully, you have been joined to the wonderful family of God. For your growth in the Lord, get a church that deals with the unadulterated word of God. Fellowship there as we all await the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You are blessed.
