ARTICLE: GATHERING STRENGTH

GATHERING STRENGTH

The Lord made sure that Elijah was fed. He knew the man was going to have a long journey. As children of God, there are a lot for us to do. What must we then do to be able to excellently perform our responsibilities? We have so much things to do.
(NIV) Heb 12:12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
One must look out for his weaknesses and deal with them. Some people do not want to talk about their weaknesses. They want to behave as though they do not have any. That is a dangerous act. So far as something exists, deal with it accordingly.
Make level paths for your feet. What do you think is a snare for you? Jesus says if it is your eye that leads you to sin, remove it from its place, that is, do not allow it to be coming into contact with those things that make it lead you to sin.
Just as Elijah was fed for strength, we must be fed. We need the Word of God to be satisfied with. That is our food. We need to be more conscious of the presence of God than anything. We need divine empowerment. We need to listen to the testimony of others. There must be encouragement from one another. We must share the knowledge of the truth together. We have to empty ourselves of everything that weighs us down. Let us be light. This will be done by removing irrelevant things like aiming at pleasing people from our lives. Aiming at pleasing man is a burden that can weigh one and prevent him from reaching what God has planned for him. Let us awake to the knowledge of things that will keep us in a faithful connection with our Lord and Savior. Shalom
Come to Jesus for this strength to overcome the world. You have a prayer to guide you get into action.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for your grace upon my life. I believe Jesus died to save me from your wrath. He resurrected from the dead for my justification. This day, I accept Him as my Lord and personal Savior. I will worship you in Him all the days of my life. Amen
Having said this prayer faithfully, you have been joined to the wonderful family of God. For your growth in the Lord, get a church that deals with the unadulterated word of God. Fellowship there as we all await the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You are blessed.
