A 4-Day Leadership conference was held for all PENSA Leaders in the second cycle institutions within the central sector under the theme: “set in order what remains” Titus 1:5. The conference was held in Cape Coast from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th April, 2015.
56 SHS Leaders from sixteen second cycle institutions attended. The residential conference which was held at no cost to participants received sponsorship from the Sector and the Central Regional Coordinating Committee of the Church of Pentecost.
Participants were taken through the doctrines, values and practices of the Church of Pentecost. This was handled by Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, Central sector Travelling Secretary. He emphasized that PENSA must be guided by sound Biblical doctrine and her beliefs must be informed by the tenets of the Church of Pentecost. Pastor Kwafo emphasized that PENSA Leaders must not compromise the authority of the Bible but hold on to the absolute conviction that it is the source of all truth. Leaders must not value any other religious literature above what the Bible speaks, because the Bible is the Word of God. Participants were taken through all the ten tenets of the Church of Pentecost.

Other speakers included, Pastor Ebenezer Agyapong, the Western Sector PENSA Travelling Secretary who spoke on the topic: foundations of Christian Leadership, where he said, the call into leadership is a call that brings change into the life of those who are called to lead. He added that Christian leadership is different from leadership from the world’s perspective. Christian leadership is all about Jesus Christ and if it is not through Christ then it is not to God but something else. He called on Christian Leaders to first experience Christ and be impregnated by His nature so we could birth that nature to the people we lead.
Elder Augustine Arthur-Norman taught on “PENSA and CoP in focus” where he led participants to know and understand the history, organizational structure, polity, and practices of the Church of Pentecost. He added other relevant issues about the Church from national to the local level as well as the relationship that exists between PENSA and the Church of Pentecost. On PENSA he led them to appreciate the structure, practices and principles that guide the running of PENSA from national to the local level.
Elder Ebenezer Kusi, the PENSA President for University of Cape Coast and the Sector head took participants through the leadership structure in PENSA and the duties or responsibilities of the various leaders found in PENSA.
Elder Emmanuel Henaku Boadu handled Academic excellence and financial issues. On academic excellence, he said that God expects them to be shining examples to their peers in their academic lives. He encouraged them to make use of their potentials, not necessarily desiring to be better than everybody but striving to fully utilize every academic potential the Lord has deposited in them.
Deacon Ebenezer Koomsom touched on the need to develop personal Bible study attitude and strong intimacy with the Lord through an intentional study of His word.

Mrs Agartha Agyei Kwafo spoke on the topic, “not so with you”. She said those who are called into leadership in the world lord it over those they lead. However, with Christian leadership, we are called to protect and care for the flock, feed the congregation with the undiluted Word of God and show respect to our followers knowing that we are fellow sheep called to lead other sheep.
Participants were placed in groups for group project work on various topics concerning Christianity and PENSA.
Finally there was a 40 minutes examination for all participants on the last day of the conference. Participants left the conference grounds well equipped and poised to do great things for the Lord. Certificates would be presented to all participants when school resumes.
