10 TIPS FOR PUBLIC SPEAKING

As part of the semester's activities of the Ladies and Gents Fellowship of PENSA UCC, the travelling secretary for Central Sector Rev. Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo was invited to speak to members on how to improve on speaking in public. In his presentation he made the following points as tips to enhance public speaking.
 1. There is the need to be empowered by reading wide in order to have control over the subject matter.
2. Practice and go over what you have written many times and rehearse to yourself so you can be perfect.
3. There is the need to clear all doubt and assume the possible questions audience may ask and seek answers to them.
4. Be confident in yourself and understand that no one is perfect.
5. Know your audience and grow above them.
6. Prepare beforehand and be determined to meet the needs of your audience
7. Put your thoughts together ahead of time and make your presentation lively by bringing in a related humour to your topic.
8. Don't be under pressure, negotiate if possible.
9. Rely on prayer and the Spirit of God.
10. Go ahead of time, familiarise with the environment and leave out anything you are not comfortable with in your presentation.
