THE UNCOMMON CHRISTIAN YOUTH

On September 19th, 2015 the travelling secretary for PENSA Central sector Rev Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo and his working team organised a conference for all SHS PENSA leaders in the sector. This conference brought about leaders from the various schools in the sector including Adisadel College, Ghana National College, Christ the King Academy and many others with their patrons who came to support the occasion. Speaking on The Uncommon Christian Youth was Elder Henaku Boadu  who started by officially welcoming the students back to school after the long vacation. He said A leader is someone who has been given the mandate to influence others through a specific direction. Using the tree as example, he said Leadership looks just like a tree which has a root, a trunk and a crown. A leader who is the front liner can  be likened to the root. He said every leader has a middle liner which can also be likened to the trunk and the trunk in leadership can also be referred to persons who are being mentored to take up leadership role.  He said every leader draws his strength from God and as PENSA leaders in their various institutions they should always look up to God who is the author and finisher of our faith. He added that members are those who understand the leader and carry on with the leader's vision and as leaders there is the need to be visionary and also communicate their visions to the members for the growth of the church. In conclusion he said if the group will stand firm then it depends on the leadership and our fellowship with God. To be an uncommon leaders there is the need to serve people and also be purpose driven. The travelling secretary also enlightened members on the evils of homosexuality and a prayer was led by Elder Ebenezer Kusi-PENSA UCC President.
