PENTECOST STUDENT AND ASSOCIATES (PENSA)
UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, WINNEBA.
AKOSOMBO EVANGELISM.
We ascribe all glory and honor
to our most high God for his protection and guidance during the one week stay
at Akosombo District. We also extend our profound gratitude to Pastor Emmanuel
Agyei Kwaffo (Travelling Secretary) and Pastor Wilson Yaw Ntiamoah and his
District Executives for their support both spiritually and physically. We also
wish to express our profound gratitude to Elder David Shamo for his dedication
to us throughout our one week stay at Mangoasse.
THE
PERIOD UNDER REVIEW (ACTIVITIES):
The program
started from 26th January to 1st February, 2015. Before embarking on this evangelism, one day
was set up for prayers since we were not able to pray more during the vacation.
Fasting and prayers were still being organized whilst on the field. The locals
at different locations were used for the one week evangelism. A total of twenty
(20) energetic and zealous young men and woman attended the program. They were
made up of five (5) women and fifteen (15) men.
The group undertook several
activities and these activities are listed as follows;
· There
were rallies at all the various locals.
· There
was dawn broadcasting at Mangoase
· House
to house evangelism was also organized
· Holy
Ghost baptism and deliverance was also organized
· There
was one half night at Mangoase where two locals combined.
· There
was one night video show at all the various towns
· We took
the opportunity to visit the PENSA members at Akwahuman Senior High School.
CHALLENGES
One challenge we faced which
cut across all the locals we visited was communication barrier. Most people we
approached at Kpedzi and Abume speak Ewe language and most of us who are Akans
could not communicate to them properly.
CONCLUSION
Glory, honor and adoration be
unto the most High God who strengthened both spiritually and physically to do
His work. It is our hope that church will be able to take care of the souls
won.
