PENSA Central Sector
organized a football match between some PENSA institutions in Cape Coast and the
town folks at the beaches of Cape Coast to foster friendliness and propagate
the gospel of Christ through Soccer. The Soccer which was fully sponsored by
PENSA Central Sector brought together 4 teams in the early evening of 21st
February 2015 at about 3 pm to compete for the ultimate cup and first prize of
GH¢600.
The teams were PENSA
UCC, PENSA CCNMTC (Cape Coast Nurses and Midwifery Training College), Bakano
Football Team and Idan Football Club.
The first match was
between PENSA CCNMTC and Bakaano Football Team which ended with 4-0 in favour
of the beach folks. The second match was between the strong side PENSA UCC and
their counterparts Idan Football Club. Idan Football team scored 1 against the
PENSA UCC side who could not put any goal in the net of their opponents.
Idan and Bakaano
Football Teams met for the Finals and Bakaano took the cup by scoring 1-0
against Idan. However, Idan did not go home empty handed as they received GH¢
300 for placing second. The two other participating teams received GH¢ 50 each.
Match officials and all the players of all the sides were refreshed.
The ultimate cup which
went to Bakaano Football Team was presented by Mrs. Agartha Agyei Kwafo, the
wife of the travelling secretary.
About 350 spectators
were gathered and almost 30 people gave their lives to Christ.
