For everything there
is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven- Ecclesiastes 3:1(ESV)
A hand over ceremony was held on the February 8th,
2015 at Kwanyarko Senior High/Technical School to climax the 2014/2015 spiritual
year and also for new Executive Members to take over the mantle of
leadership of PENSA KWASTECH Branch. This ceremony brought a lot of dignitaries
including Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, Agatha Agyei Kwafo (PENSA Travelling
Secretary and wife), the PENSA patron of KWASTECH, the presiding elder of the
Kwanyarko English Assembly of the church of Pentecost, a member of the Swedru
Area school’s coordinating team, representatives from various institutions in
the sector like UCC, UEW and other denominations on their campus.
The travelling secretary Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo gave a
message on the topic “ADD WORKS TO YOUR
FAITH”
Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo( PENSA Travelling Secretary speaking at the ceremony on ADDING WORKS TO OUR FAITH. |
He started by advising the students to desist from laziness and
take their studies serious and work very hard to the glorification of God. He
said, faith is seen in works and without work faith becomes useless.
For as the body apart
from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead (James 2:26)
As Christians our faith is measured in works because it is
the level of our works that proves our faith.
The story of Abraham was narrated to prove his faith in the
Lord that was translated into works by agreeing to sacrifice his only son Isaac
despite all he went through with Sarah before they had a child.
He added that a student with faith in the Lord should not be
caught cheating in Examinations. With hard work and having faith that the Lord
is able to do everything that we ask for, we will always excel in our
academics.
Students were also advised to work hard so as to occupy
various positions in the school, further their education so as to become great
men in the future to impact their generation in a Godly manner.
In conclusion, he said a lazy person can never be a man of
God and encouraged students to pray as if everything depends on God and study
as if everything also depends on God because with hard work, determination and
faith in the Lord everything is possible.
