Pastor William Kumordji speaking at the service |
The week long activity of the Ladies and Gents fellowship of PENSA UCC came to a successful end on the 29th March, 2015 with a wonderful Sunday service. This service brought about lots of personalities including Pastor William Kumordji of the Cape Coast Area, lecturers, alumni, past Central Committee members of PENSA UCC. The conductor for the day was Deacon Seth Botwe who made the service very wonderful.
The service began with a sketch by the Aroma Theatre of the Fountain of Joy; a wing of PENSA UCC. This short drama was educative and entertaining as it taught members the requisite of a good steward which goes beyond just going to church in expensive attire but to portray a life that is worthy of emulation.
After the wonderful sketch, Pastor William Kumordji mounted the podium to speak on the theme "BUILDING A HEALTHY SOCIETY AS A GOOD STEWARD OF GOD".
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath(Luke 12:42-44)

Christianity he said is responsible for the way our society is organised because the most wise person to live on this earth is a Christian and building a healthy and a strong society should be our mandate.
He added that the troubles of our society can be averted if Christians can bridge the gap and preach the gospel and portray the Christian virtues instilled in them in a faithful and loyal manner for that's the hall mark of a good steward.
He continued by saying, our society will have no problem if the people who lead have no problem themselves and our society will be free if the people are made to understand what they are made of. A good steward is someone who has full confidence of their master. Using Joseph as an example, he said Joseph had a full confidence of Potiphar.
In summing up the sermon, he said we are the legal representatives of God in our society who are seasoned and preserved that the world cannot corrupt us and if any good will come out of our society then it needs to be from us. He said if we are committed to serving God in a faithful and truth manner he shall also deliver our heart desires.
