PENSA
UEW-ADJUMAKO CAMPUS HAND OVER CEREMONY
For everything there is a season, and a
time for every matter under heaven…(Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
On the 8th
March, 2015 a hand over ceremony was held to climax the 2014/2015 spiritual
year of the University of Education, Winneba-Faculty of languages, Adjumako
campus.
The program
started with an opening speech by the outgoing president on the achievements
and challenges during their tenure of office. Among the achievements included
the acquisition of a plot of land valued at GH¢8800.00
out of which GH¢3700.00 has been paid out, their numerical strength also
increased with most active members.
After
his speech the PENSA travelling secretary for Central sector Pastor Emmanuel
Agyei Kwafo mounted the podium to speak on theme “JESUS THE ETERNAL KING”.
He
started by acknowledging the other denominations present for honouring the
invite and admonished them to come together as one and help fight for the
growth of Christianity in the world.
…And Paul said, John baptized with the
baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him
that should come after him, that is, on Jesus. And when they heard this, they
were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands
upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and
prophesied… (Acts 19:1-20 ESV)
Speaking
on the theme he encouraged the leaders to work for God and also to present
Christ to the world as Paul did and in so doing God will see them through
successfully in their term of office as PENSA leaders.
He
said Paul was a man full of the power of God, met people who were sinners, not
repented nor baptized but was able to change them by laying hands on them and
they began to prophesize and so therefore as leaders that should be their
mandate.
He
added that in presenting Christ to the world they should be aware that Jesus
was given as a ransom, that is the only the way, the truth and the life and He
alone can save. And there is salvation in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be
saved (Acts 4:12 ESV)

He
said a leader should show a distinction between light and darkness by
manifesting this in their lifestyle. The life they live alone should be a
message to unbelievers who have not experience Christ and by so doing more
souls would be won for Jesus Christ.
Moreover
the issue of building the church should be the task of every leader, because
when this is done the church will grow fully, increase in faith by being established
and firmly grounded to the extent that they can boldly declare that CHRIST IN
US, OUR HOPE OF GLORY!
To equip the saints for the
work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to
the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature
manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians
4:12).
In
conclusion, he encouraged the incoming executives to hold on to their faith by
protecting, preserving and cherishing the faith and not to allowing anyone to
take their faith, prevent people from teaching false doctrines and lead the
church as good stewards of Christ.
