PENSA HAND-OVER CEREMONY AT BREMAN ASIKUMA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (BASS)

A handover ceremony was held on Saturday March 14, 2015 at Breman Asikuma Senior High School to climax the 2014/2015 spiritual year of PENSA and for new executive members to take over the mantle of PENSA leadership. The ceremony brought about lots of dignitaries including the PENSA Travelling Secretary of Central Sector Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo and Mrs. Agartha Agyei Kwafo (wife of the travelling secretary), Elder Emmanuel Henaku (Financial Secretary- Central working committee), the PENSA patron and some past executives of the Association.
In a short message presented by the travelling secretary Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, he touched on the theme “PREPARE TO TAKE OVER
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:6-8)
With reference to the above text he said Moses taught Joshua because Joshua was ready to serve as a servant and despite the fact that Joshua was young, the Lord decided to choose him regardless of his age.
He made it clear that the Lord cannot lead you until you serve and the servants of today are the leaders tomorrow. Moreover, anytime God calls a leader there’s an assignment or task associated with that position and as Joshua was able to lead his people to cross Jordan which was part of his task he encouraged the new leaders to have faith in the Lord and that is the only way they can be able to accomplish successfully whatever task placed on them.

To be a successful leader he said one must have the following attributes;
·      Be strong and courageous.
·      Be bold; it is sin that makes us fear but with God all things are possible.
·      Morality should be enhanced.
·      Academic performance must be improved.
·      Heeding to parents and leaders advice.
·      The word of God should be part of your life meditating on it day and night and keeping it in your heart for it is the word of God that can break the power of the devil. It is the only thing that can drive the devil away.
In concluding his message he commended the outgoing executives for their immense contribution towards the growth of PENSA and also encouraged to serve even better after school. The incoming executives were also motivated to let Christ lead them in all their endeavours and with that alone they will be successful.
