TS SPEAKS ON BEING A GOOD STEWARD AT CCNMTC HAND OVER CEREMONY

The travelling secretary of PENSA Central sector Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo on the 22nd March, 15 paid a visit to PENSA members of the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Cape Coast to officiate their hand over ceremony which was held to climax the 2014/2015 spiritual year and for new executive members to take over the mantle of PENSA leadership. This ceremony was attended by personalities including the travelling secretary’s wife (Mrs. Agartha Agyei Kwafo), the patroness of PENSA CCNMTC Branch(Mrs. Evelyn Quansah), Elder Vitalis and some PENSA members of the sector.

Pastor Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo who was the speaker for the ceremony touched on theme “BEING A GOOD STEWARD OF GOD IN MY GENERATION”.
… For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away… (Matthew 25:14-30).
He started by explaining that a good steward is someone who takes care of another person’s property, but having to take care of another person’s property alone does not make one a good steward of God but what matters most is the outcome and effectiveness of their responsibility. He said a good steward may make mistakes but every good steward always tries to amend their errors so as to accomplish their task effectively.
Moreover a good steward, he added is someone who through thick and thin produces good results for the master as Paul did and never gives up on their Christian life. He said as a good steward one should aim at bringing glory to God irrespective of the circumstance so as to impact our generations positively.

Our master who is Jesus Christ expects multiplication and therefore as good stewards of God we should try and multiply every talent the Lord has bestowed on us. Everything we have he said is from the Lord and therefore we need to guard and multiply it as good and faithful stewards for the glorification of God. He also made it clear that good stewards do not pride in their strength but always strive and count on God who is the author and finisher of our faith for perfection.
For one to be a good steward there’s the need to be faithful and trustworthy even when no one is watching, working hard to please our master and not man, living a holy life and being ready for the master’s return since he can come anytime.

In conclusion he advised the students to be stewards of the gospel by propagating the good news; stewards of our environment by living a life that is worthy of emulation and also to desist from hiding behind spirituality and study very hard to excel in all endeavours for Christ who’s our perfect example never failed in any examination.
